The Tuolumne County Public Works Department is taking a significant step towards enhancing active transportation in the Soulsbyville – Mono Vista area. As part of their preparation for a future Active Transportation Program (ATP) grant application, a comprehensive project initiation study is underway.

This study aims to assess crucial factors such as safety data, bike/pedestrian volumes, traffic volumes, and the needs of communities of concern/disadvantaged communities. It also explores opportunities for incorporating urban design elements like gateways or monuments to beautify and improve our neighborhood's infrastructure.

A key component of this initiative is community involvement. To facilitate this, the Public Works Department has launched a public outreach website, designed to gather valuable feedback from residents of the Soulsbyville – Mono Vista area and beyond. Your insights on active transportation projects are invaluable and can significantly shape the future of our community's mobility.

We encourage everyone to participate in this important survey. Your input will not only contribute to the safety and accessibility of our streets but also enhance the overall quality of life in our beloved county.

For more information or any questions, please feel free to reach out to the project manager, Denise Zitnik, or Blossom Scott-Heim, Assistant Director of the Tuolumne County Department of Public Works.
